Brian Reynolds
Brian Reynolds initially moved to China with the intent of developing an international distribution company. After living in China for 3 months, he realized that a more in-depth and thorough knowledge of Chinese culture and language would be needed to achieve his goal. This led to his decision to enroll in formal language courses. The experience of living in a Chinese environment, learning Mandarin, and Chinese culture inspired an interest in learning more about China-American foreign policy. Upon returning to America to complete his formal education, Brian utilized his previous experiences in China to increase multi-cultural awareness on campus. In his sophomore year at Georgia Perimeter College, Brian became the Founder and President of the Chinese Language Club, President of the International Students Club, as well as a reporter for his school newspaper covering international and cultural awareness events on campus. These experiences have given him a multi-cultural appreciation.
Brian currently is in the process of completing dual degrees in Chinese Language and Culture and Political Science as an Arizona State University Chinese Flagship student. After graduation, Brian enthusiastically seeks to continue his education by applying to a graduate program focusing on Chinese-American economic policy with the goal of implementing his experience and education as a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. State Department.
Kamla Hsin Tung
Kamla Tung is currently pursuing a B.A. in Communication, East Asian Studies Certificate and Certificate in Arabic Studies and will be graduating in 2011.
